Wir bieten eine spannende Praktikumsposition im Rahmen eines Pflichtpraktikums für 3 - 6 Monate als SoftwareentwicklerIn (m/w/d) mit einem Schwerpunkt auf Robotik, KI, und Navigation. Diese Position bietet Dir eine einzigartige Kombination aus selbstständigem Arbeiten und Mentoring, sodass Du dich als SoftwareentwicklerIn fachlich sowie persönlich weiterentwickeln kannst. Als frühes Teammitglied wirst Du eine wichtige Rolle beim Aufbau der entsprechenden Systeme spielen, indem Du dich an komplexen Herausforderungen beteiligst. Mit Dir können wir unser Softwaresystem verbessern und neue Funktionen integrieren.

Deine Aufgaben

Du hast die Möglichkeit je nach Interesse verschiedene oder spezifische Aufgaben zu übernehmen:

Entwicklung von Algorithmen in C++ für die Bildverarbeitung, kamerabasierte Lokalisierung und Fahrerassistenz

Verarbeitung von Flottendaten und Anwendung von maschinellem Lernen für die Flottennavigation

 Kalibrierung der monokularen Fisheye für ein Multikamerasystem

Entwicklung skalierbarer Lösungen mit KI-Tools und Machine-Learning-Modellen

Entwicklung von Tools zur Berechnung und Speicherung von Flottendaten und für die Erstellung von Datensätzen.

Integration, Testung, Optimierung und Überwachung von Lösungen für Fahrassistenzsysteme

Implementierung von KI- und Computer-Vision-Algorithmen in Embedded Systems

Entwicklung einer Plattform/Simulation für Software-in-the-Loop- und Hardware-in-the-Loop-Tests

Durchführung von Systemtests bzgl. Funktionalität, Zuverlässigkeit und Sicherheitsanforderungen

Dein Profil

Studium im Bereich der Informatik, Elektrotechnik, Mechatronik, Physik oder verwandten Bereichen

Programmierkenntnisse in C++ und python

fundierte Kenntnisse und Interesse im Bereich Robotik und Softwareentwicklung

Erfahrung mit ROS / ROS 2 (Robot Operating System)

ausgeprägte Problemlösungs- und Kommunikationsfähigkeiten

Your mission

We are offering an exciting internship position (3 - 6 months, voluntary or obligatory) for Software Developer (m/f/d) with a focus on robotics, AI, and navigation. This position offers a unique combination of independence and mentoring that will allow you to grow as a software developer. As an early team member, you will play an important role in building the relevant systems by participating in complex challenges. Through you, we can improve our software system and integrate new features.

Your tasks

You have the opportunity to perform diverse tasks or specific ones, according to your interest:

Development of algorithms in C++ for image processing, camera-based localization, and driving assistance

Processing fleet data and applying machine learning for fleet navigation

Calibration of the monocular fisheye camera for a multi-camera system

Design and development of scalable solutions with AI tools and machine learning models

Development of tools for the calculation and storage of fleet data and for the creation of datasets

Integration, testing, optimization and development of solutions for driving assistance systems

Implementation of AI and computer vision algorithms in embedded systems

Development of a platform/simulation for software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop testing

Testing of system performance regarding functionality, reliability, and security requirements

Your profile

The following knowledge is useful (not all necessary):

Studies in the field of computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics, or related fields.

programming skills in C++ and Python.

Sound knowledge and interest in the field of robotics and software development.

Experience with ROS / ROS 2 (Robot Operating System).

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Our mission is to solve the skilled labor shortage in intralogistics with inspiring technology. For this purpose, we are developing an automation system based on a remote driving approach. With our technology, it is possible to control vehicles over 1000 km away via the Internet. Gradually, we are also integrating fully autonomous features, so that in the future, one driver can control multiple vehicles. We focus on forklifts, which our customers use to move their goods in warehouses.
