Job Description

As an intern on the Equity Market Making Desk, you will gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced environment of equity trading. You will work alongside experienced traders and quantitative analysts, learning about market dynamics, trading strategies, and risk management.

• Collaborate with senior traders to prepare reports and presentations on trading performance.


• Support the development and optimization of the trading system.


• Participate in team meetings, providing insights and feedback based on your research.


• Help maintain and update trading systems and databases.


• Monitor and analyze market trends, price movements, and trading volumes.


• Learn about risk management practices and compliance within trading operations.


• Leverage spreadsheet analysis through technical solutions developed in Python, including automating data processing, enhancing data visualization, and streamlining workflows through efficient scripting.

• Currently pursuing a Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.


• Familiarity with Python, including basic data manipulation and analysis using libraries such as Pandas,Tkinter and NumPy.


• Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including the ability to use functions, charts, and pivot tables.


• Keen interest in financial markets, trading concepts, and investment strategies.


• Basic understanding of risk management practices and compliance regulations is a plus.


• Ability to analyze data and identify trends or insights.


• Strong attention to detail when working with data and preparing reports.


• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support senior traders.


• Effective verbal and written communication skills to articulate ideas and findings.


• Excellent English communication skills (German is advantageous but not necessary).
