Our mission is to contribute to the growth and success of individuals and businesses with our products, upholding ESG principles and nurturing talent.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGAs a Global Receivables Intern you will be part of the product team, structuring receivables financing solutions for our clients globally, with a focus on Europe and North America. You will closely collaborate with other product and sales teams within GTB as well as across SCIB to deliver value-add solutions to clients. You will support the team providing guidance and training to other employees, fostering an open communication, and being a hub for best practices. By above mentioned you will develop and learn a sophisticated set of skills in the Trade Finance & Working Capital area such as: * Sound knowledge of the GTB working capital product suits, particularly in relation to receivables financing solutions; * Structuring, pricing, and execution of trade receivable financing transactions for SCIB clients and prospects of Santander; * Understanding of regulatory environment and relevant accounting framework in various countries. * Involvement in the most sophisticated transactions in GTB Trade; * Time management and the ability to meet deadlines * Collabortion various teams within SCIB GTB globally, gaining insights that will allow you to offer unique and diverse perspectives. We need someone like you to help us in different fronts: * Assist in the preparation of client pitches and communication, which involves gaining a deep understanding of the company’s financial situation and needs, particularly in the evolving geopolitical context; * Conduct financial analysis to assess the potential and impact of receivables finance on large corporates; * Analyze and interpret industry trends to understand the corporates’ business and sector dynamics; * Research and propose innovative working capital solutions. * Review and interpret legal, regulatory and financial documents; * Transfer the knowledge gained into comprehensive and client centered proposals; * Support the senior team members in structuring securitization transactions; * Understanding of and compliance with the Bank’s operating practices, governance and guidelines; * Collaborate with various teams globallyREQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE * First work experience gained (preferably in activities related to Corporate and Investment Banking, particularly trade finance), a sound passion for financial concepts and corporate finance. * Experience in and knowledge of accounting standards and its applicability for working capital solutions is a plus.EDUCATION * (Masters) Degree in Economics, Business Management or Finance preferable.SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE * Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel and Power Point). * Highly proficient in spoken and written English. Additional language skills, particularly German and Spanish, is a plus * Knowledge of trade finance would be positive value. * Strong teamworking skills and proactive communication. * Ability to work under tight deadlines for RFP/RFI. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Ability to be versatile. * Strong creative and critical thinking skills * Our internships last preferably six months and an extension may be offered.
