The Role:

As an Intern in Additive Manufacturing, you will be an integral part of our daily operations in the Machine Center team, working closely with our Manufacturing Engineering and Production.

This role offers hands-on experience with various additive manufacturing machines, including FDM, SLS, and SLA. You will support our operations in the AM Laboratory, involving tasks such as setting up printers, post-processing parts, maintaining printers, developing parameters, and collaborating with engineers.

This internship provides a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the dynamic field of additive manufacturing. You'll gain practical experience and develop relationships with industry leaders. Our environment is fast-paced and demanding, requiring agility and comfort, working under pressure.

The role is based in Munich and spans a duration of 6 months.

Your Day to Day:

Machine Operation: Set up and operate various additive manufacturing machines (FDM, SLS, SLA).

Post-Processing: Handle the post-processing of manufactured parts to meet quality standards.

Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printers to ensure optimal performance.

Parameter Development: Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering team to develop and optimize printing parameters.

Operational Support: Assist in daily laboratory operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Data Management: Utilize IT tools for data entry and management, maintaining accurate records of operations and outputs.

Continuous Improvement: Proactively suggest improvements to processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and safety.

Your Profile:

Education: Bachelor or Master`s student in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.

Experience: Prior experience in any manufacturing environment, whether in a professional setting, a university machine shop, Study initiative like Formula Student or similar, or even a parent's garage. Familiarity with tools and manufacturing processes is essential.

Comfortable with IT tools and data entry. Ability to handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
