Event Management Internship (Demo Day Event Intern) (volunteer basis)

Overview

Are you passionate about event management and excited to be part of a dynamic team? Join us in the Digital Career Program for an opportunity to co-organize a high-impact event with one of our key partners!

As our Event Management Intern, you will be involved in shaping and delivering our Demo Day, a significant showcase event that connects learners, volunteers, and partners. This hands-on role provides exposure to event planning, stakeholder management, and real-time execution, all while contributing to the success of a major educational initiative.

Duration and schedule:
This is an unpaid internship with an aim to kick-off in October running to the end of December . The intern is expected to work approximately 20 hours per week for up to 9 weeks. We will work with the selected candidate to determine a mutually agreeable schedule.

This internship is unpaid, but we are committed to providing valuable learning opportunities and mentorship throughout the internship.Your tasksYour Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in designing and organizing the Demo Day events (11.12.24 & 12.12.24), from concept to agenda.
  • Propose creative and innovative event ideas.
  • Promote the event through various communication channels (social media, Slack, email, etc.).
  • Manage invitations and ensure effective participant engagement.
  • Handle logistics and prepare necessary equipment/materials.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including learners, volunteer coaches, and partners.
  • Ensure smooth event execution through comprehensive support and promotion.
  • Assist in the production and coordination of the live event.
  • Manage follow-ups and stakeholder relationships post-event.
Your profile
  • Enthusiasm for our non-profit mission and willingness to contribute to our cause.
  • Great written and oral communication skills in English.
  • You are mobile to move around the city of Berlin.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Previous experience in event management is a plus.
  • Interest in educational events and initiatives.
