The UFZ

The Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) with its 1,100 employees has gained an excellent reputation as an international competence centre for environmental sciences. We are part of the largest scientific organisation in Germany, the Helmholtz association. Our mission: Our research seeks to find a balance between social development and the long-term protection of our natural resources.

The job

This thesis/internship is part of the PhD college , which is developing sustainable solutions for on-farm manure utilization. You will participate in the preparations for and the sampling of a large outdoor mesocosm experiment planted with cover crop mixtures. Additionally, you will learn how to do soil and greenhouse gas samplings, analyze the collected samples in the lab, work with the data acquired from these samples and present them in presentations and/or your thesis.
