Role Summary:
Minnovation is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cybersecurity Tester Intern to join the Cybersecurity Lab of our client. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity testing, vulnerability management, and practical security research. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our experienced engineers, contributing to various technical tasks and projects. This role offers an excellent chance for aspiring cybersecurity professionals to develop practical skills and kickstart their careers in this dynamic field.
Responsibilities:
• Work with Cybersecurity team to perform cybersecurity assessment (least but not limited to penetration testing) of products and networks.
• Perform threat, risk, and vulnerability analyses of identified vulnerabilities.
• Document and report security test results to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for cybersecurity improvements with key IT Security stakeholders.
• Research emerging cybersecurity testing methods in telecommunications security.
• Identify and implement automation solutions for repetitive tasks.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Knowledge of at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java).
• Knowledge of basic Information of Security concepts.
• Basic understanding of Network Technologies: TCP/IP and UDP, knowledge of the OSI model.
• Basic understanding of Operating Systems (Linux, Unix, Windows, iOS, Android).
• Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Legally authorized to work in Germany.
Preferred Qualifications:
Although the following qualifications are not mandatory, possessing one or more of them may enhance your chances of being selected for the internship opportunity:
• Prior internship or project experience in a related field.
• Basic knowledge of penetration testing standards such as OWASP and OSSTM.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., OSCP, CHE).
• Experience in vulnerability research and bug-hunting.
• Familiarity with static and dynamic program analysis for binary, web application, and network domains.
• Understanding of 5G/4G/2G architectures and common attack methods (e.g., IMSI catchers, downgrade attacks, jamming, spoofing, sniffing).
• Demonstrated curiosity and passion for cybersecurity
