Whether it's an internship, volunteering, gap year, semester abroad or “just for fun” – a work experience in Swedish Lapland is an unforgettable adventure and will add that special something to your CV! Northern lights, snowmobiles, reindeers – with us, you can experience the real life near the Arctic Circle.

The owner-managed, traditional Hotel Laponia is located in the center of the scenic town Arvidsjaur, right at the gates of the so-called UNESCO World Heritage Site. We welcome numerous of travelers every winter and accompany them through their personal winter fairy tale. No matter, if they come for work purpose as international car testers or for short get aways as tourists. Helping hands are needed from mid-December 2024 (incl. Christmas and New Year's Eve) until mid-March 2025. You should plan a minimum duration of 6 weeks for your stay, in order to get an fundamental introduction into you chosen work field. You can apply for the following work areas: service/restaurant/catering, kitchen/food-prep, reception or janitor. You are welcome to complete your stay with us as part of a practical semester, as a compulsory internship or as a voluntary internship of max. 3 months. Young people during orientation phase or before graduating from hotel management school (B.A.) are also welcome.

• ​Service/Restaurant/Catering: Helping with maintenance of the different buffets (e.g. breakfast/lunch/evening/event) and hospitality service in our restaurants and outdoor-facilities​
• Kitchen/Food-prep: Supporting the kitchen with all types of servings (e.g. catering, lunch boxes, conference meals) or chopping duty​
• Reception: Welcoming guests, bookings, check-in/-out and answering questions​
• Janitor: Giving a flexible, helping hand in all sectors of manual work and maintenance

You should be a well-communicating team player, who enjoys dealing with people in a service-oriented manner and be able to work independently. In addition, you should be fluent in English (German is a big plus but not necessary!) as a foreign language in order to be able to communicate with the responsibles as well as guests. If you are also motivated, flexible, open-minded and ideally already have gained some experience in hotel/service/hospitality, then we would be more than happy to welcome you to our team!​
