Investment Internship
The Role
You can be part of a leading, client-committed, global Asset Manager, making an impact on individuals, communities, and the world.
Today, markets still face a whole new set of pressures – but also a whole lot of opportunity too. Opportunity to innovate differently. Opportunity to invest responsibly. And opportunity to make change. This is needed more than ever as we currently experience high interest rates, a once-in-a-lifetime health crisis, a shift in global demographics – and politics – as well as advances in digitalization and economies moving towards a more sustainable future.
While there is always uncertainty in markets, one thing remains clear: there is always a new situation that requires the right investment answers. We call it the new now.
About the Internship
The Internship is an opportunity to gain a wide range of practical experience. Individual projects, participation in speaker sessions and networking events will all be part of the internship. Whilst you can expect a high learning curve from our internship, you will benefit from the support of your managers and mentors along with unparalleled exposure to the world of Asset Management. This internship is an ideal way to determine whether a career in Financial Services & Asset Management meets your personal aspirations.
Subject to performance, successful interns may be offered a place on the Graduate program the following year.
CIO Office
The Chief Investment Office (CIO Office) forms the core of the investment platform by bringing together the expertise of the global network of investment managers into a global, consistent economic and market assessment: the "CIO View." This CIO View, including its internal communication is a fundamental part of the investment process. To create this view, we work closely with portfolio managers and analysts as well as with Compliance, Marketing and Communications to inform the public and our clients about our view of political, economic, and financial-market-related events. Through our global network of specialists, we are able to develop and communicate an assessment of a wide range of topics at very short notice.
As our Intern you will be:
- At the pulse of financial markets – part of a team closely connected to investment professionals, following their discussions about the economy and markets and gaining a better understanding of economic events, market implications and the interactions between market participants
- Preparing internal meetings and summarizing the outcomes
- Creating presentation materials portraying market developments and the organizations view on the future.
- Contributing to the creation of external publications on short- and long-term market assessments.
- Finding creative solutions to improve team processes via PowerAutomate/Macros

At Alternatives, you will get to know the entire life cycle of a real estate investment - from purchase, through management, to sale - and discover that teamwork plays a very important role for us.
As our Intern you will:
- Portfolio Management: You will support the team in the holistic development and implementation of investment strategies for real estate funds, gaining insight into the specific requirements of various investors
- Transactions Area: You will assist the team in the buying and selling process of real estate. This includes involvement in the due diligence process, conducting market, property, and competition analyses, and assisting in the preparation of purchase calculations and documents for senior management
- Real Estate Asset Management: You will participate in the operational management of our fund properties, gaining a deeper understanding of the market environment and the value-enhancing positioning of properties with different uses

You’ll immerse yourself in a dynamic environment, rapidly understanding the complexities of capital markets and global economic dynamics. This includes a comprehensive exploration of investment management, always keeping the core objective of Asset Management in mind: strategically investing client capital to generate income while balancing risk and opportunity in their investment portfolios.
As our Intern, you will:
- Support the team in the implementation of the investment strategy for the respective funds and mandates
- Conduct market research and analyze data provided by your managers/team to support their work

COO of the Investment Division
In the Chief Operating Office (COO) of the Investment Division, you will delve into the complexities of capital markets and collaborate with experts in Portfolio Management to meet the global demands of economic dynamics.
You will work alongside experienced members of the COO team to improve process flows along the value chain of Portfolio Management, implement initiatives, and develop strategies to advance the organization and our Asset Management. In doing so, you will gain deep insights into the fields of research, due diligence, allocation, documentation, and control.
The COO area serves as a structural hub for Portfolio Management, ensuring efficient and adherent integration of asset allocation into the overall context. Depending on your skills, you will have the opportunity to engage directly with portfolio managers of traditional asset classes and participate in discussions with Risk Management, Compliance, and Product Management.
For this purpose, you bring a broad knowledge of financial products and the functioning of capital markets, along with the confidence to interact directly with experienced managers from all departments.
