The Applied Network Technology Lab (ANTL) plays a leading role in researching new networking technologies and delivering novel next generation networking solutions. Our research areas include but not limited to Internet and networking protocols, Industrial Ethernet, IoT, and (beyond) 5G mobile systems.

Research Intern / Master Thesis for IoT & Wireless Routing (m/f/d)

 

Your mission

  • Study novel routing protocols based on ad-hoc and proactive routing for IoT industrial environments.
  • Design and develop IoT addressing and routing protocol to enable power and highly efficient IoT communication.
  • Implement of wireless routing protocols in a software environment.
  • Investigate and analyze protocols performance in various scenarios.
  • Collaborate effectively with a dedicated research team.

Your areas of expertise

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree in Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Solid background in networking fundamentals, transport protocols, routing algorithms (distance vector & link state), and network access protocols.
  • Proficient programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
  • Knowledge of network simulation tools (e.g., OMNET++).
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
